I know - 2 posts in one day after weeks of neglect! I came on to post this and realised that the card post was sitting there all lonesome and forgotton, but at least now its got a friend.
This layout started off as a page to use some of the homemade flowers that I've become obsessed with making. I also wanted to use lots of layers and and some cheerful colours. I've been sorting out my stash and found these stamps from Crafty Individuals which I love and that led to their blog and finding a challenge - too late to enter alas but the title "Free as a bird" tied in with what I wanted to say about our daughter - so I've used it as a starting block anyway.
The caged bird was stamped on a scrap of twill like fabric to give it the look of a canvas. The frame is made from the same stamp with the centre removed and bars made from raffia lace ribbon.
The photo is of our lovely daughter - running free in the garden - I love the fact that she is so enthusiastic and carefree. The free bird image is stamped twice with the second image embossed, cropped and raised on 3d foam. This is much busier than my normal style but I like it - hope you do too.

Sometimes when my mojo is off on holiday I sit and make cards. It feels like playing and the smaller canvas feels manageable. So here are the cards that I've made over the past couple of weeks. The one above was a Mothers Day card for my lovely Step Mum and the others are for the card box.
